Sydney Metro – Pitt Street Station
Client: CPB for NSW Government
Scope: Enabling Works – Shotcrete, Soldier
Piles & Rock Bolts

Ormond Civil collaborated with CPB Contractors on the construction of the new Pitt Street Station in the Sydney CBD, part of the expansion of Sydney’s metro rail network.

Following demolition and excavation of the site, improvement works were required to the external walls to enable waterproofing to be installed and construction of the multi-level basement. Scope of works included installation of shotcrete to the external walls to provide an even surface for
waterproof membrane application, and installation of a soldier pile and rock bolt shoring system. Challenges in this project included restricted working room due to multiple contractors working within a small footprint CBD site, and working from an EWP at 15m+ heights.
